I am blowing off tonight's Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica premieres to start a writing blog. Talk about reprioritizing.

I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Joy and I write fiction. I'm currently working on a science fiction novel, tentatively titled Aquila. (Don't worry, it's not all lasers, robots, and evil soul-sucking aliens. It does take place on a spaceship about 145 years in the future and there are a few aliens (although only one is an important character,) but it's definately more of a thoughtful, character driven story than a vapid space battle epic.) I've been writing since I was about 5 years old, and I've been working on Aquila since May of 2005.

This blog will chronicle my progress on Aquila (and my side project, Kiraken) and discuss general writing topics. I hope you will enjoy it.
